A New York and New Jersey Lawyer Who Represents Policyholders and Beneficiaries in Life Insurance Denial Cases

I thought I would put up a quick post concerning an article I just read in an insurance trade publication. Though I focus on representing New York and New Jersey life insurance beneficiaries in bad faith denial claims, I try to keep abreast about other evolving issues in life insurance.

According to the article, it is possible for a policyholder to obtain a better rate after coverage is in effect. Say you have high blood pressure and are given a standard rate. If your blood pressure subsequently is better-controlled, you can petition the insurance company to give you a more favorable rate. It may not give it to you, but on the other hand, maybe it will.

Most life insurance policyholders would not think about doing this, and hence I thought it was worth a mention.
